Currency Rate Update Isses
Software - Known Issues
Written by vicott

It has come to my attention that the currency rate updates for CurrencyConv are a mess for the past few days. Several (in fact, many) currencies have gone missing. I'm sorry to say that this is due to the fact that it is a little slow/unstable to connect to the currency update source (web service). Hence, some currencies may not be updates and are left out of the list by the web script on mobile-sg.com. If time permits in future, I will work on ways to hopefully improve the way the whole updating process works for CurrencyConv.

Yes please - the currency no-update issue is critical.

Your Currency Conversion program (apart from the no-update issue) is still the most compact I have found:

1) 3 currencies on screen for comparison
2) standalone program (I load in the tray)

Excellent program, if the daily update is reliable

Hi !

Just updated today and found out the issue, that's a pity!

Therefore I tried several other softs in order to temporarily replace your perfect app. But hell, no luck, nothing stands against your easy-to-use freeware ;-).

Hope you work this out :-).

Regards.

Looks like the problem is more serious than I expected. The currency rate update web service is extremely unstable today. I can't even use the web service to manually update the currency file for CurrencyConv.

Would it be laborious to use another server to get the exchange rates?
