I understand that some users would like to be updated via e-mail or other certain channels regarding software updates, specifically for my Windows Mobile apps. There were suggestions for having a subscription feature on this site. I'll seriously consider & go look around for such a module in Joomla to add into the site.
Meanwhile, there are several ways to keep updated:

Yah, this website was hacked twice & affected by a malicious code for a couple of days over the past week. After cleaning up, it seems that the website is back alive & safe, and I hope such incidents will not return to haunt again.
To sidetrack a little, I would encourage twitter users to follow my twitter account. I usually post more updates & stuff about my website/software over in my tweets as it is relatively more convenient to post short messages via twitter as compared to posting in this blog.

Yes, I have decided to discontinue the webhosting plan for mobile-sg.com, and that will take effect from 6th April 2010. Thereafter, I will still keep the domain but will redirect mobile-sg.com to mobisapienz.com. In this 2 months, I will move some of the useful articles/reviews/tips from the old site to this website. Other types of content will not moved over. Besides, most of the content are outdated and many of the pages have been down for several months (changes over at webhost a few months ago meant JSP was no longer supported). Anyway, webhosting cost for mobile-sg.com is almost twice of how much it costs for this "new" site. Not much of a point to keep the old content at such a cost.

I mentioned quite a while back that the software/themes downloads do not seem to work well in Internet Explorer. After some investigation & hacking into the JDownloads component, I've managed to fix it. However, the download details page (the page which allows comments) does not seem to load properly in IE. What is worse is that website layout in several parts of this website seem to be broken in IE (no issues on Firefox, Flock, Chrome, Safari & Opera). Sigh....IE never fails to be a pain in the ass.

I'm glad to announce that you can now use Facebook Connect (i.e. use your Facebook account) to post comments or access other member functions in this website! If you do not have an account on this website and do not wish to go through the trouble of setting up one, simply click on the Facebook Connect button on the left & below the login form, and you will be logged in using your Facebook account.

It looks like the download links for the software/themes section don't seem to work so well in IE. It could be a big issue that involves much testing/debugging/coding, and I don't think I am able to find time to do that. So, if you are having download problems in IE, I would advise using an alternative browser. Fortunately, I'm not a big fan of IE, but I'm a big fan of Firefox!

This website has been running for half a year or so and it seems like the forum feature is still underutilised. Since this is the case, I'm considering to remove the forums feature on this site. It appears that users are more willing to post their comments to the software section or the blog section. When I port content over from the old site in future, I guess I'll just port the articles & forum threads to the blog section then. Or are there any strong reasons for me to keep the forum feature around?
UPDATE: Forum has been closed w.e.f 23rd August 2009.

Enough of easyCGI. How I miss the features of CPanel and the support of Webstrike Solutions in the past. I'm not very happy with the CPanel ever since easyCGI acquired Webstrike Solutions. easyCGI does not have any backup/zip features in the CPanel. The website stats are bad compared to what I had in the past.
Storage and bandwidth size have been increased significantly, but the CPanel seems to be inferior in my opinion. JSP is no longer supported as well, which means the themes section (and also several sections) and the mobile version of Mobile-SG.com are broken. Furthermore, I keep Mobile-SG.com just because it's not so easy to port some contents over to this new 5 month young site.
So, I have 9 more months to make a decision since the webhosting fees for Mobile-SG.com will only be due in April 2010. I will work on migrating the contents over to this site and probably terminate the webhosting account for Mobile-SG.com. However, I will continue to take ownership of the domain since Mobile-SG.com domain is still more established than this new domain.

I have several e-mails/posts asking about the TouchFLO 3D themes found on this site or requesting for themes, so I guess it's time I make it clear.
Firstly, the TouchFLO 3D themes found on this site are created by bongsu3 of PPCSG. More info on his themes (including support/request queries) can be found here. Please do not direct any e-mail or post any queries regarding TouchFLO 3D theme to me since I am not the theme author and I am not too familiar with TouchFLO 3D themes. Please head over to PPCSG if you need help.
As for standard Pocket PC and Smartphone themes, I have stopped creating them for a very long time. I do continue to provide support queries but I will no longer be accepting theme requests. I have lost the touch, lost some template files and TouchFLO 3D themes are more popular than standard today themes nowadays. Hence, I do not find it worthwhile to create any more standard today themes. Besides, my focus is more on general content of this website and also on software development.
