Napoli have officially announced the signing of defender Rafa Marin from Real Madrid in a complex €12m deal football.
The centre-back underwent a medical in Rome on Monday and Tuesday at the Villa Stuart clinic. Before signing the contract at the club president Aurelio De Laurentiis’ headquarters.
He turns 22 in May and plays primarily as a centre-back but can also play on the right.UFABET
Marin spent last season on loan at Alaves.
While Napoli are not disclosing details of their financial operations, multiple sources. Including Sky Sport Italia have reported on the complicated move.
The fee is €12m but Real Madrid will have a buy-back option from June 2026 for €25m, rising to €35m in June 2027.
However, if Napoli pay another €10m in June 2025. It will double Real Madrid’s buy-back clause to €50m and €70m.
If the sale of Marin is successful, Real Madrid will be able to use the funds to buy Leni Yoro from Lille.
This is important because while United have agreed a fee with Lille. Yoro is only waiting for an offer to move to Real Madrid.
Once the Rafa Marin sale is completed, Real Madrid can then purchase Leny Yoro from Lille.
This is important because while Manchester United agreed a transfer fee with his club, Yoro is waiting only for the Merengues.
